CE Capital’s team all has substantial experience in Central and Eastern Europe – as well as raising both debt and equity finance in quoted and private companies. Most of the team have worked in London as well as either the US and/or another European Capital.
In addition all have undertaken consultancy assignments for blue chip organisations – some growing their companies and selling to quoted vehicles or holding groups.

Andrew is a director of CE Capital and has provided advice and guidance over the last 20 years as a specialist in Central and Eastern Europe to a number of leading organisations. In the late 1990’s he sold a technology business which provided communications solutions to Financial Services and other leading companies right across Central Europe. Andrew then co-founded SMT Consulting – a strategy consultancy based in Oxford where he worked on many large public and private sector investment programmes and which was subsequently sold to the AIM listed Cello group. He holds an Engineering degree from Manchester University and an MBA from Cranfield University.
John is a director of CE Capital and specialist in the Utilities and Cleantech areas. He holds non-executive directorships of 2 energy service companies and has recently headed workshops to advise businesses in Central Europe on fundraising strategies and supported their business planning. John is also heavily connected to consulting in the Utility space and was also a founder of SMT Consulting where he headed up the Utility practice. He holds a Chemistry degree from Manchester University and an MBA from Cranfield University.
Nick has more than 24 years of experience in the turnaround and restructuring industry. These include provision of equity and lending facilities, refinancing, debt restructuring and debt-for-equity swaps. Additionally, Nick has advised private equity houses, bank syndicates and management teams, as well as taking board positions. During his career, Nick has had experience of assisting clients in the automotive, chemicals, consumer finance, energy, financial services, hotels, infrastructure, insurance, leisure, manufacturing, real estate, services and sports sectors.
David has spent his career in private equity and corporate finance in the business services and infrastructure sectors. He was a member of the team that built up Serco and more recently was Chief Executive of the Private Finance Panel – the government agency responsible for PPPs and PFIs. An experienced non-executive chairman, David is currently chairman of 2 companies listed on the AIM part of the London Stock Exchange and specialises in seeking investment for foreign companies including taking them for a UK listing. He is a chartered accountant and has an MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge.
Stephen is a former director of Deutsche Bank based in London. His wide experience of funding, M+A and privatisation/IPOs includes many infrastructure projects (including Trains, Roads, Airport, Oil Refineries as well as power transmission lines) as well as a variety of other industries. Stephen has also advised the EBRD and been involved in a number of EIB financed projects as well as advising HM Government. His expertise in Central Europe included advising on the financing of 2 motorways (Poland and Hungary) an oil refinery (Czech Republic) and banking (Russia). Stephen holds a first-class Economics degree from Cambridge University.
